Shakespeare - Machinima Unit of Work

Ive posted a short project based learning project for my 9th Grade students on TeenSecondClassroom, and they have begun work on developing a 2 minute flick, that ultimately they will post on Machinima.com. This is a 6 week project - (1 hour per week in class, plus one hour self-directed). I've posted the unit here, so anyone can use or modify it. It will be posted… Continue

Innovation is all around. I've been talking to Nathan, who's been working on an Australian 'Open Simulator' grid. He's also been working up the API for user registration, which works pretty well. You can visit the Grid here. Its great to see someone pu… Continue

Skoolaborate - Make Poverty History Concert

Alberto Rizzo from the Melbourne Grammar school has posted this on his blog.Part of his Youth Leadership Conference. It will be great to get some kids in there for this event from my school, and an opportunity to invite some of the staff to come along and see what is happening in Skoolaborate.

OS simply boots under the usual SL client -… Continue

Open Grid - Mac OSX login instructions

This is the code : /Applications/Second\ Life.app/Contents/MacOS/Second\ Life -loginuri http://osgrid.org:8002/ -loginpage http://osgrid.org/loginscreen.php -helperuri http://osgrid.org/?method=login Thanks to Sean for the link to Open Grid. For those Mac Users out there, the site instructions to amend you SL clients desire to connect to Linden - in favour of Open Grid, the instructions and code is missing (at the time of writing). Heres what you need to do.… Continue

Dear Dean,

I cannot wait to see what you have done...I am so excited I can barely stand it. I do not even know if I am putting this in the right place, but I hope you read it.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Hi Dean
Its amazing where random links will take you. I must have too much time ??

It looks like a good idea what you have started, I must come over and have a look at your real world next term

And, oh, this could mean teaching can be fun. Amazing. Who would have thought.
