Inspired by an unconference session in SL (Jokaydia) I am now seriously wanting to start a project with a high achievers group on the teen grid. I want to put something together to justify the project and money so that we can buy our own island and maintain it for a year. However, my SL experience is low; how can i build my skills? Would love to hear from others who are planning the same so we can share
Thanks Judy,
I am looking forward to connecting with other teachers using Second Life and I have some grand plans that are still developing as I write! I am hoping to work with a group of Year 9 students and also involve some teachers. Will explore and let the ideas flow from there
Casey GS is located in outer Melbourne in the town of Cranbourne. Will see what I can do about the avatar. Still not sure how to get my SL avatar into that small box but I'm sure I'll work it eventually...
Welcome to the Second Life Ning! Looking forward to connecting with you, hearing about your adventures and sharing ideas with you. Where is Casey Grammar School? Are you exploring Second Life yourself, or with your students? Your image is a bit blurred - have you got a smiling avatar image to share with us?
Once again, great to have you here in this virtual collaboration space. Cheers, Judy

Unfortunately I didn't pick Second Life. My teacher picked this program for us to research and it just so happens to be an Elementary based class, but I am going to make due!

You need to look at something other than Second Life Stacy. Teen Grid is 13-18 - I suggest you look at Quest Atlantis for that age range, if you don't have resources/program to teach yet. Alternatively you might look at a game - as at that age the...
